Fonds Soziokultur
Fonds Soziokultur supports socio-cultural projects with a model character. Socio-culture aims to address and expand the aesthetic and communicative as well as social needs and abilities of all citizens. The promotion and funding of socio-cultural projects contributes to cultural equality of opportunity and thus further develops democratic culture in the Federal Republic of Germany. The goals are the cultural education of children, young people and adults through the mediation and appropriation of cultural and artistic forms of expression, as well as the encouragement and empowerment of active participation and involvement in societal life. The guiding principle of Fonds Soziokultur’s funding practice is to strengthen innovation and continuity in socio-cultural practice. It supports self-organization and self-responsibility in cultural work.
The Fonds Soziokultur is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

Der Fonds Soziokultur fördert soziokulturelle Projekte mit Modellcharakter. Die Soziokultur will sowohl ästhetische und kommunikative als auch soziale Bedürfnisse und Fähigkeiten aller Bürger*innen aufgreifen und erweitern. Die Förderung soziokultureller Projekte trägt zur kulturellen Chancengleichheit bei und entwickelt auf diese Weise die demokratische Kultur in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland weiter. Ziele sind die kulturelle Bildung von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen durch Vermittlung und Aneignung kultureller und künstlerischer Ausdrucksformen sowie die Ermutigung und Befähigung zur aktiven Teilnahme und Teilhabe am gesellschaftlichen Leben. Leitlinie der Förderpraxis des Fonds Soziokultur ist, Innovation und Kontinuität soziokultureller Praxis zu stärken. Sie unterstützt die Selbstorganisation und Selbstverantwortung in der Kulturarbeit.
Der Fonds Soziokultur wird gefördert von der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
