Community Manager

We are looking for a remote, full-time Community Manager who is articulate, detail oriented and motivated by iterative, participatory and collaborative approaches to creative practice. Our Community Manager would be a creature of magic with ten hands and a matchless mind. Juggling hosting events, bringing in new partners, and stirring the pot to catalyze people on Dara to engage regularly, our Community Manager will have not a dull moment in their action packed day-to-day. Oh ye of infinite patience, will also be an incredible writer, blogger and image-meddler, ensuring that the proposals, blogs, how-to manuals and reports we publish are perfectly put together.

Dara is a powerful, human way for groups and alumni networks to remain vibrant and engaged. Members can access the full potential of an authoritative directory of creators and change makers in close conversations with each other across borders to find relevant opportunities, inspirational work and collaborators. Dara is our platform to catalyze creative collaborations.

Senior Software Engineer

We're looking for a thoughtful and creative Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You are someone who feels pride from writing solid code, you enjoy creating new user experiences and solving fun technical problems. You lean into opportunities to learn unfamiliar technologies in order to solve a wide range of problems. You care first and foremost about doing what’s necessary to help Dara.network succeed as a business and an invaluable tool to help changemakers create social capital and positive impact the world. You delight in making a difference and helping people and you care about having a joyful work environment.

You will:

  • Collaborate with teammates to implement and launch highly visible, user-facing features from start to finish.

  • Implement the diagnostics, tests and other tools to feel confident that your work is behaving correctly for our users.

  • Produce solid quality code, raising the bar for the whole team on quality and speed

  • Work with Flutter and Dart as our primary client side languages, occasionally touching Javascript and Python on the server.

Executive Assistant

We're looking for a highly-organized and joyful remote, full-time Executive Administrator to join our team. You'll be the organizational glue that happily binds our team together and opens up time for our founders. You'll work directly with Archana and Sean to help build our team, manage calendars, write newsletters and help execute events with aplomb. 

You will:

  • Own Asana boards of prioritized work.

  • Develop and maintain organization systems for the company.

  • Aid in outreach events. 

  • Facilitate meetings with partners, cultural heads and investors. 

  • Interface with our accountants and aid compliance. 

  • Grow and redefine your responsibilities as Dara grows.

  • Write clearly and professionally

  • Are passionate about the arts and/or change making field and ideally with experience working in the fields.

We're on a mission to build community for change makers. Our app, Dara is already used by thousands of the best artists, change makers and institutions in the world to connect to each other and their alumni.  Dara is inspired by the need for all of us - but especially those trying to make change - to have a safe. private digital space to discover the best work and communicate authentically within our communities.  

Dara's team is tiny right now, with just 1 developer and our two founders Archana Prasad (founder of Jaaga.in and BeFantastic.in) and Sean Blagsvedt (founder of babajob.com). We are based in Bangalore, India and Seattle and operate remotely (mostly on India business hours).
